Statement Sweater

I often find myself buying items that are versatile so I can recycle them into multiple different outfits with no one noticing. Can’t say no to a sweater that you can throw over practically any kind of bottoms! But a couple weeks ago, I was shopping around and something caught my eye. It was an oversized white sweater with a pink furry band on each sleeve. This was one of those items where my initial reaction was “what in the hell is this” but for some reason I was drawn to it (maybe it had to do with the fact that the fur band was SO soft). So, I was like heck why not, and decided to give it a try.

Little did I know that this sweater would become one of my favourite sweaters.Β Opposite from versatile, this sweater is such a fun, bold statement piece. Oh, andΒ I catch myself petting my own sleeves. I’m serious, it’s so soft. I give you permission to hug me if you ever see me wearing it. You’re welcome.

I decided to pair this sweater with a plain black leather skirt, fishnets, chunky booties, and an all-white mini backpack for a fun, edgy look. Statement pieces should be the centre of attention, so it’s a good idea to keep the rest of your outfit relatively simple and pattern-free!
